Lace Monitor Adaptions
Behavioural: When Lace Monitors feel threatened or are in danger, they climb up the closest tree for safety. This helps them survive as they are swift to run up the tree and get away from any danger.
Physiological: Lace Monitors have two physiological adaptations, a venomous bite and a forked tongue. This assists them in warning off other predators and assisting them to catch prey. As the venomous bite will poison their prey.
Structural: Lace Monitors have two important structural adaptations, strong claws and a large tail. The strong claws assist them in survival as they help them climb up trees faster and also the claws help make the Lace Monitor look dangerous. The long tail helps them give a much larger appearance so predators don’t attack them.
